WebCampus AXG Tecnonexo - Help

Through the Web Campus Tecnonexo, on-line courses for all the Company's technical and business scope could be accessed in an interactive and dynamic way.

This tool, complements the transfer of experts' knowledge of the Company's practice to community members. The success is guaranteed by educational models and methodologies designed to attract the interest of the persons the training is addressed to. This is a platform that has been specially designed for the Web Campus Tecnonexo courses management and administration. Users may access the courses contents, may communicate with instructors and may share comments with their course mates, without the need to apply tools external to the platform.



Access to the Web Campus Tecnonexo Platform

To access the Web Campus Tecnonexo you should enter URL http://www.webcampustecnonexo.com/ in the field Internet Navigator Address. The user accesses in this way the Home page, where he may access to the diferent avaible services.

General Navigation Criteria
The Web Campus Tecnonexo platform counts on Buttons called Navigation Bar or Services menu to navigate. They include buttons or links that if you click on the mouse, they will lead to internal pages or new windows.



Navigation from the Home page
Top Navigation Bar

The Home page counts on a top navigation bar, where all navigation buttons and platform services derivation are available. This navigation bar may be accessed even where the user is navigating in other platform sections. All buttons count on an icon and a text that allow to identify the function or destination.



Home:

Clicking on Home, you may go to the Home page from any platform section.



My profile:
This button is only available for enrolled users and it will be visible when the user is logged on. In the item General Navigation from my Profile there is a detail of accesses available from this page.



Catalog of courses:
The Catalog of courses is a list of the courses available in the platform, it is organized by categories and subcategories. The categories are sets of courses that have, in turn, being ordered in subcategories. For example, for a category called "language courses", you may have the "German", "English" and "French" subcategories, and within the subcategory "English" you may find "Business English", "English for diplomats", etc.

The Catalog of courses may be consulted from the body of the Home page or by clicking on Catalog of courses in the top navigation bar of the page, every time the user is navigating in another section of the platform.


Catalog of Courses Reading Criteria:

View Categories / Subcategories:
In the Catalog of Courses you may view Categories and up to three subcategories. If the Category includes more than three Subcategories, the button See more is activated. Clicking on See More, or clicking on a Category name, there appears a list of all the subcategories available within the Category. If you wish to return to the general list of Categories, press Return and you will be back in the previous page.

View Subcategories:
To access to a subcategory, click on its name. In this way, a list of the courses available within the subcategory is accessed, indicating for each course, duration in hours and a brief description. If you wish to return to the general list of Categories, press Back and you will be back in the previous page.

View Course Information:
To access to the data relevant to a course, such as, objectives, subjects, instructor, duration, etc., you may click on the course name. Any available information with reference to it is accessed. All fields included in the list below indicate the information available for every course.

· Category and subcategory name. These indicate the category and subcategory that include the course.
· Course name. It identifies the course at the catalog of courses.
· Descripción. A short description about themes and relevant data.
· Objectives. This field indicates the objectives of the course.
· Themes. This field indicates a summary of themes of the course.
· Related skills. This fields indicates the skills that students may acquire at the course.
· Requirements. This fields indicates the requirements that the students have to carry out to do the course.
· Mode (course mode), this may be regular or on-line.
· Recomended. This field indicates suggestions or advices from the instructor to the studentes.
· Instructor. This field indicates Instructor's name.
· Start: The course commencement date is indicated.
· End: The course conclusion date is indicated.
· Duration: This is set in hours.
· Type. The course may be public o private. A private course requires validation from the Platform Administrator. When you inscribe on a private course, you must await confirmation which will be sent to your e-mail.

If you wish to return to the courses list, press Back and you will return to the previous page. From the course detail, you may access the enrollment application form, through the button Sign-up. (Item Sign-up explains how to complete the enrollment application form)





Sign-up:

This service allows to carry out course enrollments. Access to the Registration form is available in several places of the platform: From the Top Navigation Bar, in the main body of the Home page, and in the page of Details of every Course.

By clicking on the button Sign-up, you may access the Registration form to participate as student in one or more courses available in that platform. If you do not belong to any course yet, by clicking on the button Sign-up you access a form that presents the following fields to be completed.

The fields that include an asterisk (*) are compulsory. If these are not filled in, the form shall remain without conclusion and the system shall inform the fields that have been left blank.

Name: To complete this field, enter your first name.
Last name: To complete this field, enter your last name.
E-mail: To complete this field, enter your e-mail direction.
Country: To complete this field, enter the country where you live.
User name: To complete this field you shall enter a word that allows you access to the system like a register user.
Password: To complete this field, enter a secret password.
Confirm: In this field you shall repeat the password to confirm.
Picture: To include a picture, click on Browse to browse the hard disk and select the file containing the picture to be loaded. When the file is found, click on Accept and the picture will be pasted in the enrollment form.


Finally, you may select, from a list of available courses, the course you wish to enroll for, by checking the relevant checkbox. Then press Ok. If you wish to carry out the enrollment for more than one course, tick the next course you wish to enroll for.

Courses marked with are public courses and you may enroll for them without generating a request.
Courses marked with are private courses require validation by the Administrator. When you sign-up for a private course, you shall wait for enrollment confirmation, which shall be sent to the user's personal e-mail.

To finish loading the form, press Ok at the bottom of the page. Or press Cancel to omit registration.

If you press Sign-up to the course, being a user enrolled in another Web Campus Tecnonexo course, a template of the available courses is accessed. Courses you already belong to as student, appear marked with . To carry out a new enrollment, just tick in the course checkbox you wish to enroll for and then press Ok. To omit enrollment, click on Cancel.



Request:
Through this tool, you may send suggestions or questions to the General Administrator of the Web Campus Tecnonexo Platform. Clicking on Request, you access to a consult and suggest form. In order to make some consultation or if you have some suggestion related to the e-learning platform complete the following fields. The fields that include an asterisk (*) are compulsory.

Name.
Last Name.
E-mail.
Subject.
Message.

When you have filled the fields, click Send. If you do not wish send the consultation, click Cancel.

The user will also have a series of frequently asked questions, such as use of the platform, administrative and academic aspects, but in case the user needs to ask certain questions not included within the frequent questions base, he may contact the manager. This FAQs' help option will be available if the System Manager makes it available to the user, i.e., if he registers one or more FAQs.


Log-in:
Clicking onLog-in, you access to the Enter application form. You shall enter your User name and your Password to access to the system like a register user.
If you forgot your passwrod, you may access to a help service, by clicking on text "click here".
If you are not a register user, you may access to the Registration form from here.



Help:
Clicking on Help in the Top Navigation Bar, this guide may be accessed any time you need to make any inquiry.



Course Searcher

There is a courses Searcher available in the right side on the top of the Home page . The different courses may be searched by using a key word to be entered in the text box "Search Courses". Once the key word is entered, press Search button. A page with all the findings of the search is shown.

The page is headed by the Course Searcher, in case you wish to carry out a new search.

Forthwith, the number of the courses found with the relevant key word is shown, and the number of pages containing results may be read. Then, the following are listed:

· Course category and subcategory
· Course name, description and duration.


Clicking on the course name, you may access the course details screen.

In the event there is more than one page with results, at the bottom of the grid, there is the access to the following page or a box that allows to select the page number you wish to view.

At the bottom of the list there is the Back button, which allows you to return to the page you visited before.



News

From the Home Page you may access the News published by the Platform General Administrator. The News section is in the middle of the Home page. The News box shows the Title and Summary of the news and the publication date.

To view the full text of the news, click on the Title, or press the button (+) (Read more) located on the right of the title. In this way, a new page will be accessed with the full text of the news.

To return to the previous page, press Back and you will return to the page you visited before.

It shall be clarified that the news published in the Home page correspond to those pieces of news that are destined to all users of the Platform in general. Below it is explained that there are internal news of each course, published by the instructors and destined exclusively to the students of that course.



General Navigation from My Profile

The Page My Profile is the user's personal space where all information relevant to the courses you belong to as Student, Tutor or Instructor. To access to My Profile, you shall enter your user name and password in the Enter form or Log-in form. The My Profile button is available for every Platform register user. From My Profile you may access the environment of every course the user belongs to.


User's Data:

My profile shows the user's personal data: user's name, e-mail and picture. Personal Data head the page My Profile.


Change Personal Data:

Under the Top Navigation Bar (always visible), there appear the personal data and the possibility to change the profile through the option Change my data. Clicking on the option Change my data, you may access the personal data form and the fields that may be modified are: First Name; Last Name; e-mail; Country; User Name; Password; Confirm; Picture; Activity; Company; Employees quantity and Charge.

To change any of the data, place the cursor in the relevant text field you wish to modify.

To modify the personal picture, press the option Browse and look in the hard disk or floppy disk for the file containing the new personal picture. Select file and press Ok.

When you finish the changes, press the option Ok that appears at the bottom of the page, the system will show again the page My Profile, where the new personal data are included.

In the event you wish to omit the modifications, press the option Cancel.


New Registration

Under the Personal Data box, there is an access to New Registration. Since the user already appears as student or instructor in some course of the platform, the only data required in the New Registration form, is just the name of the course you wish to register for.

Thus, you access to a list of the courses ordered by categories and subcategories. To select the course, check the available checkbox on the left of the Course Name. Once the course(s) has/have been selected, press Ok.

Courses marked with are public courses and you may enroll for them without generating an application.

Courses marked with are Private courses require validation by the General Administrator. When you register for a private course, you shall wait for a confirmation, which will be sent to the user's personal e-mail box.

To finish loading the form, press Ok at the bottom of the page. Or, press Cancel to omit registration..


List of active courses:

From My profile you may view the list of active courses in which the user is enrolled as Instructor, Tutor or Student. This list includes the following information:

· Name of course:
Every course is identified with a Title or Name of Course. As you click on the name of the course, you will access the content of the course and all the tools available within it.

· Start date:
The date of the commencement of the course is shown.

· End date:
The date of the course conclusion is shown.

· Role of user in the course:
The roles may be: Student, Tutor or Instructor. The column on the right of the End date shows the user's role for every active course.


The last column of the chart shows the following accesses:

· Sign-up by: :
If the user carried out an enrollment on his account, (Self-registration). is shown. In the event the user is enrolled by a third party, (Name of user of registration) is shown. Clicking on this icon, there appears a window with the full data of the user that carried out the enrollment. To close this window, press Close.

· News:
The courses which tutors and instructors have published any new is indicated width . . This icon allows to show published news. A list of News where Title, Summary and date of publication are detailed is shown.

To close news, press .

To access the full content of News, press View News (+). . In this case, the News appear in a new page. To return to the list, press Back.

In the event no news have been published, the icon will not be available.

· Manage:
For courses where the user has an Instructor or Tutor role, access to the Management Tools of the course is available through the icon (Manage).


List of Study Programs:

The list of study programs assigned to the user can be visualized from My profile.
This list gathers the following information:

· Course name:
Each course is identified with a Course Tile or Name. The course content and all its available tools can be accessed by clicking on the course name, provided such course does not hold unmet prerequisites regarding correlative courses. In case the user has correlative courses pending, a list of courses correlative to the course in question will be displayed when clicking on its name.

· Start Date:
The course start date is indicated.

· End date:
The course end date is indicated.

· User's role within course:
Possible roles: Student, Tutor or Instructor. The column at the right of the End date indicates the user's role for each active course.


The last column of the table shows the following accesses:

· Enrolled by:
If the user enrolled on his own, (Self-Enrollment ) is shown. If the user was enrolled by a third party (Name of enroller). ) is shown. By clicking on this icon, a window will be displayed showing the complete data of the user in charge of the enrollment. Press Close to close the window.

· News:
For those courses where tutors or instructors may have published news, is shown. . This icon displays the published news. The News list is displayed, including Title, Summary and Date of publication.

Press to close the News.

In order to access the complete content of the item of News, press See News (+) . In this case, the item of New is displayed on a new page. Press Back to return to the list.

If no news have been published, the icon will be disabled.

· Administration:
In the case of the courses where the user plays the Role of the Instructor or Tutor, access to the Course Administration Tools is available through the icon (Administration).

· Prerequisites:
This icon determines whether the course has related correlative-course requirements, i.e., which are the correlative courses to be taken before such course. If the course has prerequisites to be met, the user will not be able to access the course before meeting them, unless the user plays the role of the Instructor or Tutor.

· Expired Course:
This icon indicates that the course cannot be accessed since it has some expired prerequisite, i.e., some correlative course which end date has expired.


List of realized courses:

From the page My Profile you may view the list of courses that you realized. This list is located below the list of Active Courses. In the List of realized courses, the following are shown:

· Name of course:
Clicking on the name of the course, you will access the card containing information of the course. (Category, Subcategory, Title, Description, Purposes, Subjects, Main Related Skills, Mode, Instructor, Start, End, Duration). Likewise, the Course Summary document may be accessed. To return from this card to Realized courses, press Back.

· Course Summary Document:
Having concluded the course, the Course Summary Document is available. This may be opened from the List of realized courses. To do this, click on (Open Course Summary Document). The document is shown in a new window. To open this document, Adobe Acrobat Reader shall be installed.

· Start Date:
In the list of realized courses, you may view the date of course commencement.

· End date:
In the list of realized courses, you may view the date of course conclusion.

· Role of user in the course:
The roles may be: Student, Tutor or Instructor. In the column on the right of date of conclusion, there appears the user's role for every realized course.


The last column of the chart shows:

· Sign-up by:
If the user has carried out the enrollment on his account, (Self-enrollment) is shown. In the event the user is enrolled by a third party, (Name of issuer of enrollment) is shown. Clicking on this icon, a window containing the full data of the user who carried out the enrollment is shown. To close the window press Close.


· Statistics:
The Tutor and Instructor roles may access, from the realized courses list, to the statistic management tools.
